I finally got around to recording a second episode of the podcast. Life is a funny thing and is full of great surprises. My best friend had a surprise wedding this weekend! I couldn’t be happier for her. They are a great match. I taught my first ever crochet class that same day. It went great! Everyone finished their projects and were super excited to know that they can make more difficult things now.
I got them to make these face scrubbies. They weren’t too thrilled at first. At the end, however, they realized how useful they really are and how much they have learned. Thus, everyone walked away happy.
Here is a pattern if you want to make one for yourself.
1. 1 ball of dishcloth yarn
2. 5mm hook
3. Tapestry needle
Gauge is not important is this pattern.
Sl st-slip stitch
Sk st-skip stitch
Round 1: Dc in the 4th ch from hook. 3ch counts as first dc.
Dc10 into the same space, sl st into the top ch of ch-4 (12 dc)
Round 2: Ch3 (counts as first dc), dc into the same spot as sl
st, *2dc in next st, repeat from * to the end, sl st into top ch of
ch-3 (24 dc)
Round 3: Ch1, sc into the same spot as sl st, sk st, 5dc next st,
*sk st, sc next st, sk st, 5dc in next st, repeat from * four more
times, sl st into the first sc.
You can choose to bind off now or to make a loop.
For the loop ch10, sl st into the same sc as the sl st. Bind off.
