Another Lacy Stitch – tutorial

Spring has arrived to Vancouver. The trees are white and pink with blossom and a hint of green from the tiny leaves. The bugs are awake from their slumber, doing important days work. I found this lace which reminds me of them.

Ch a multiple of 6 plus 4

  1. Sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc into the next ch, *ch7, sk 5-ch, sc into next ch, repeat across from *, sc into each of the last 2 ch, turn.
  2. Ch3 (counts as 1st dc), dc into next sc, *ch4, 2sc in 7-ch, ch4, dc into next sc, repeat across from * until last 2 sc, dc into each, turn.
  3. Ch3 (counts as 1st dc), dc into next dc, *ch3, dc into next 4-ch, ch3, dc into next 4-ch, dc into next dc, repeat across from * until last 2 dc, dc into each, turn.
  4. Ch3 (counts as 1st dc), *ch4, sk next 3-ch, 2sc into next 3-ch, ch4, sk next 3-ch, dc into next dc, repeat across from * until last 2 dc, dc in each, turn.
  5. Ch1, sc into each of the 1st 2 dc, *ch7, sk 2 4-ch, sc into next dc, repeat across from * until last 2 dc, sc in each, turn.

Repeat rows 2-5 until desired length.

Doesn’t it looks like little bugs? Of course any lace looks better after blocking. Enjoy!
