It was an exceptionally hot Labor Day weekend. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m ready for sweater weather and blankets and layers and leafs turning and cool air… And and and… I love fall! Today I’m gonna show you another Tweed stitch which will be perfect for any project you want to be keeping you warm. Diamond Tweed stitch is very fast going and fun.
The swatch above is quite textured not only because of the stitch but also because it’s made with hand spun thick and thin yarn.
The swatch below is made with heathered yarn. Both are quite nice in my opinion.
Ch odd number of stitches
- Dc in 4th ch from hk (sk ch counts as dc2tog), ch 1, *dc2tog in prev ch and 2nd ch (skipping 1ch), ch 1, repeat from* across to last ch, dc2tog in prev and last ch, turn.
- Ch 3 (counts as dc), *dc2tog in prev and next dc2tog (sk ch-sp), ch 1, repeat from* across to t-ch, dc2tog in prev dc2tog and top of t-ch, dc in top of t-ch, turn.
- Ch 2, dc in 1st dc2tog, *ch 1, dc2tog in prev and next dc2tog (sk ch-sp), repeat from* across to t-ch, ch 1, dc2tog in prev and top of t-ch, turn.
Repeat rows 2-3 until desired length.
