Stitch Tuesday – Bloque Stitch

Fall is in full force! I cannot be more excited. It’s my favorite season. It smells so good, the colours are beautiful and coziness is everywhere. Thus, I bring you a super cozy stitch! Bloque stitch is very textured, yet soft. It would be great for anything from a throw to a garment.

Ch multiple of 4 plus 2

  1. Dc in 4th ch from hook (sk sts count as dc), dc in the next ch, *ch 2, sk 2 ch, dc in the next 2 ch; repeat from * across to last ch, dc in last ch, turn.
  2. Ch 4 (counts as hdc, ch 2), *sk next 2 dc, dc in next 2 dc 2 rows below working over 2-ch sp (first time you do this row, you will crochet into skipped foundation chains), ch 2; repeat from * across, hdc in t-ch, turn.
  3. Ch 2 (counts as hdc), * dc in next 2 dc on the row below, ch 2, sk next 2 dc; repeat from * across, dc in the next 2 dc 2 rows below, hdc in t-ch, turn.

Repeat 2-3 rows until desired length.

Last row: ch 2, work dropped dc as before into dc 2 rows below, hdc into dc in previous row, fasten off.

I’d love to see what you guys are crafting for coziness.
