A fast-growing edible pepper plant from Brazil with glossy dark-green leaves and masses of red and yellow "Hershey's kiss"-shaped peppers — mild heat, sweet and fruity flavor, perfect for salads, pizzas, and cheese boards.

The Pimenta Biquinho (Little Beak Pepper), also known as Chupetinho or Sweety Drop, is native to Minas Gerais, Brazil. It produces a mass of small, lantern-shaped peppers in red and yellow that hang from the plant like ornaments. From the Habanero family but with mild heat — the fast-growing, sweet and fruity flavor makes them perfect for salads, pizzas, antipasto, cheese platters, or pickled in vinegar. A tropical plant that needs plenty of sun and consistent moisture. Available in 4", 6", or 8" nursery pot.

What I love about it

The Biquinho is the edible plant that's as beautiful as it is delicious. The glossy dark-green leaves are gorgeous, and the masses of small red and yellow peppers that hang from the plant like little lanterns are genuinely ornamental. The mild heat makes them accessible to anyone who loves the flavor of chili peppers without the burn — and they're incredibly versatile in the kitchen. Fast-growing and productive, this is the edible plant that earns its spot on any sunny windowsill or patio.
