Adagio Maiden Grass (Miscanthus sinensis 'Adagio') is a dwarf selection of the classic Maiden Grass, bred to deliver all the drama of the full-size variety in a more manageable 3–4 foot package. Hundreds of airy bronze-pink plumes rise above the graceful, silvery-green foliage in late summer, gradually aging to creamy white for months of cool-season interest. In fall the foliage transforms into swirling shades of orange, gold, and burgundy. The plumes persist through winter, providing texture and shelter for birds when most other plants have faded.
